Prior to HCAM, Kathy worked in a variety of public health settings, including the University of Maryland’s Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC), the Prince George's County Health Department’s HIV/AIDS sero-positive clinic, and Mercy Medical Center as a Registered Dietitian. Kathy holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

He is responsible for overseeing the organizations administrative functions including Finance, Human Resources, Support Services and Quality Improvement. Bob has extensive administrative experience in senior administrative roles at Temple University Health System, Ascension Health and St. Agnes HealthCare. He received his BA from St. Vincent College and his MPH from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health.

410-649-0500 ext. 3057A Baltimore native, Traci has been with HCAM since July 2000, originally serving as an Ombudsman/Perinatal Liaison helping pregnant/postpartum women navigate the complex Medicaid system. Over the past 11 years, she served as Director of Maternal and Child Health Programs and then Chief of Program Operations before being promoted to Vice President of Programs in January 2011. Prior to returning to Baltimore, she completed her Masters in Public Health at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she focused on Health Education/Promotion with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health. Traci was also able to fulfill a long-time dream of becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer. She served for two years in the United States Peace Corps in the Eastern Caribbean as a community development worker educating parents and teachers in a local pre-school.

410-649-0500Mr. Albert Germann received a bachelor’s of science in Accounting from the University of Delaware and master’s in science in Finance from the University of Baltimore. He has a CPA in the state of Maryland. Currently Mr. Germann is the CFO of HealthCare Access Maryland. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s finance and accounting functions. In addition, Mr. Germann has experience as an external auditor with a Big 8 Firm, internal auditor, system developer and CFO for Medicaid populations in Maryland and Washington D.C. as well as MCO commercial experience in underwriting and benefit maintenance.

410-649-0500 ext. 3039Angela currently serves as the Director of Quality Improvement & Infant Loss Initiatives at Health Care Access Maryland, and has been with HCAM since its birth in 1997, also holding positions as Program Manager and Director for the Care Coordination Program. She serves on the City of Baltimore’s Child Fatality Review & Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Boards and the B'more for Health Babies Initiative. Ms. Burden received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland -School of Nursing, and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Ministries, with a concentration in Congregational Nursing from St. Mary’s Seminary & University. Angela is also an ordained minister and serves as an Associate Minister at her church in Baltimore, and finds that HCAM allows her to practice Public Health with compassion, care and concern for the underserved, uninsured, and the disenfranchised.

Over the years Brigette has participated in the “Loaned Executive” program which has afforded her the opportunity to perform H.R. duties for other agencies, such as Baltimore City Health Start and Baltimore Mental Health Systems.

410-649-0500 ext. 4003A native of Baltimore City, Ms. Matthews has a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and French, from Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania, and holds a Master of Science in Human Services Administration- Health Care Delivery Systems from the University of Baltimore. Ms. Matthews has a wealth of experience both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Since 2005, Ms. Matthews has held a myriad of positions in the not-for-profit public health sector. Ms. Matthews was the Direct Services Program Manager at Sisters Together and Reaching (STAR), a local AIDS Services Organization. In 2008, Ms. Matthews joined the Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) as a Program Officer in the Ryan White Part A: Clinical Quality Management and Administration Office. In August 2010, Ms. Matthews joined HealthCare Access Maryland as the Director of Homeless Services.

410-649-0500 ext. 3029Lynell is originally from Kingston, New York and she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. Lynell began working at HCAM in 1997 as a Nurse Ombudsman. She worked in that capacity assisting and coordinating care for clients with medically complex care needs until 1999, when she was promoted to Co-Director of the Consumer Ombudsman and Assistance Program and later Director of CARE, overseeing Care Coordination and Ombudsman Services. As part of HCAM restructuring, Lynell was promoted to Director of Medicaid Outreach Programs overseeing Maternal Child Health, Immigrant Services, Care Coordination/Ombudsman Services and PRAF.

443-423-5961Dr. Rachel Dodge is a general pediatrician with training in public health, research methods, leadership, and advocacy. Currently, Dr. Dodge is the medical director of the MATCH Program, a project of HealthCare Access Maryland and Baltimore City Department of Social Services. In this role, she oversees the coordination of health care for Baltimore City children in foster care and works closely with the pediatric primary care, dental and mental health communities. In addition, Dr. Dodge is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is an Attending Physician in the Johns Hopkins Harriet Lane Pediatrics Clinic.

Prior to joining HCAM, she served as the legislative director for the Baltimore City Health Department and staffed the transition team for Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Following her work on the campaign for Governor Martin-O’Malley, she served as legislative and intergovernmental affairs director for the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives and the Governor’s Office for Children. In 2005, she started her own fundraising and consulting business. With more than 10 years of professional experience in political and not-for-profit fundraising, communications, and event planning, she has worked professionally on over 50 federal, state and local political campaigns for many of the state’s prominent elected officials including Senator Barbara Mikulski, Congressman Elijah Cummings and Congressman Steny Hoyer. Rachel is a graduate of Salisbury State University and is working on her Masters degree.

410-649-0500 ext. 3040A native of New Jersey, Ms. Smith completed her Bachelors in Social Work at Western Maryland College and then went on to Boston University for her Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Program Evaluation and Community Organizing. Prior to her work at HCAM she had provided case management to single-parent families in transitional housing, organized Latino families around voter engagement and housing needs, and also spearheaded an initiative to revive a local community through partnerships with artists and musicians.

She proceeded to obtain her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore with a focus in health policy. For the past decade, she has been working on public policy and lobbying on behalf of organizations providing services in the health and human services area. Recently she has worked with the developmental disability community and her focus has been on issues such as health care reform, Medicaid funding, and policies promoting independence for people living in the community. She looks forward to continuing to build on her relationships in the MD General Assembly, the health and human services community, and leaders in state government agencies on behalf of HCAM.

Vanessa has numerous years of experience in the medical assistance field and has worked for two major medical facilities as a medical biller, financial counselor, and phlebotomist prior to joining HCAM.

During that time she worked on special initiatives and programs at HCAM which led her to oversee the MD Prenatal Risk Assessment program in 2008. Alisica now specializes in application development, data coding and has gained further knowledge of Microsoft and SQL based programs from her programming collaborations and continued support at HCAM. Alisica is dedicated to providing strategic detailed reporting to assist HCAM in its goals to increase access to affordable and comprehensive healthcare for the prenatal community of Baltimore City.

Her undergraduate degree in Psychology provided her with the necessary tools to communicate effectively with her clients, but it was her outreach experience that provided her with an invaluable lesson on how to gain the trust of her clients that has enabled her to successfully assist each of them. Gloria's passion in assisting others is her driving motivation to continue the work she does at HCAM.

She also possesses a BS in Public Health from West Chester University in PA. Kim is a certified childbirth educator and a certified breastfeeding counselor and has worked in Public Health for more than 20 years. In addition to working as a maternal child nurse, Kim has worked for the Harford County Health Department in the Administrative Care Coordination Unit, Associated Catholic Charities as Development Manager for a transitional housing program, and at Merck Sharp and Dohme as a pharmaceutical representative.

Kimberly has experience practicing nursing in area hospitals and home care settings as well as providing case management and care coordination services for major insurance companies. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the University of Maryland, School of Nursing Alumni Association.

She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Morgan State University, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a Master’s of Science in Health Services Leadership and Management both from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Kyanni’s public health background was as a Program Coordinator for a community prenatal education program, Stork’s Nest, at the University of Maryland Medical Center and recently as Nursing Coordinator for DHMH’s Center for Maternal and Child Health, where she worked on the State’s Infant Mortality Initiatives.

410-649-0529 ext. 3097Tammy Braswell currently serves as Program Manager within the Addiction Outreach Services (AOS) at Health Care Access Maryland and oversees the Buprenorphine Team, Hope Team and Drug Court. Tammy holds her Bachlors Degree in Theology. She started at HCAM in May 2005 as a Substance Abuse Advocate outreaching methadone programs across the City of Baltimore. With a growing intense passion for the population that she serves, she accepted the position of Program Manager in 2008. Prior to coming to HCAM she was a case manger for Humanim Inc & Baltimore County Department of Social Services.
