The Maryland Children’s Health Program or MCHP and MCHP Premium provide health insurance coverage to uninsured children and youth under age 19 and pregnant women of any age who meet income requirements.
Both programs offer comprehensive health benefits for children up to age 19, and pregnant women who meet the income guidelines.
The Primary Adult Care Program or PAC is a health care program for low income adults age 19 and over who have minimum income. PAC covers the cost of prescriptions, primary care, mental health care, hospital emergency room services, treatment for substance abuse, and other limited services. You do not need to have a medical condition to qualify. PAC does not cover inpatient or outpatient hospital services, specialty services, or EPSDT services.
