Our Homeless Services program is dedicated to reducing the number of individuals experiencing homelessness in the city by:
- Sending Homeless Outreach Advocates to the streets and shelters to engage individuals experiencing homelessness where they are and assist them with access to health care and related services.
- Joining with Baltimore Mental Health Systems to co-lead Hands in Partnership (HIP), a coalition of city homeless outreach advocates whose goal is to provide a city-wide, unified, responsive homeless outreach system
- Advocating for homeless outreach as an effective intervention.
As homeless outreach advocates, we do not perform involuntary removal. We will honor requests to engage individuals and link them to services.
