Closures:
HCAM’s physical sites are closed to all consumers and staff until further notice. All HCAM staff members are working remotely.
HCAM navigators, including those normally stationed at health departments, DSS offices, and other locations are working remotely. You can reach a navigator, who can assist you in applying for or renewing your health insurance through Maryland Health Connection, by calling 410-500-4710.

Health Insurance Coverage and Eligibility:
The Maryland Insurance Administration has directed insurance carriers to waive deductibles, co-payments, and other cost-sharing related to COVID-19 testing and to waive any time restrictions on prescription drug refills. The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange has declared an emergency Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for uninsured individuals to sign up for health insurance. Call us at 410-500-4710 or enroll online at www.
Maryland Department of Health (MDH) will not cancel your Medicaid coverage if you were supposed to renew. Coverage will be extended to September 30, 2022. MDH will decide if further extensions are needed.
Governor Larry Hogan declared an end to the Maryland State of Emergency due to COVID-19 effective July 1, 2021. MCHP premium payments will resume for September services. Payment is due by August 31st.
