In this year’s three-part Speaker Series, “Making Maryland Healthier”, we will explore what makes a community healthy, and the strategies and solutions being implemented to improve the health and well-being of every Marylander.

Join us on Wednesday, November 9th at 1pm for a virtual Speaker Series: Making Maryland Healthier: A Conversation with Ivan Bates, Baltimore City State’s Attorney-Elect.

This session’s conversation with Baltimore City State’s Attorney-Elect, Ivan Bates, will touch on:

  • The intersections between health issues and the criminal justice system
  • Initiatives to address mental health and substance use conditions and ensure individuals receive treatment services
  • Efforts to support returning citizens as they transition into the community
